  • Tim Buntel presents Scorpio: Coldfusion 8

    on May 14 in Meetings

    Monday May 14, 2007 at 7pm

Presentation Strategies Inc. 4021 Stirrup Creek Drive Suite 220, Durham

Even before the release of the highly successful ColdFusion MX 7 two years ago, the ColdFusion team was already hard at work scheming, experimenting, planning, building, creating ... and the result is "Scorpio", the highly anticipated 8th major ColdFusion edition. Building on top of the powerful platform introduced in ColdFusion MX, and the solid feature set of ColdFusion MX 7, "Scorpio" piles on new features and technologies for developers, administrators, technical decision makers, and more. The official "Scorpio" release is scheduled for mid-2007, but you don't have to wait until then to see it for yourself. Tim Buntel will be demoing lots of Scorpio throughout an extended user group tour in the spring, where attendees will get to see "Scorpio" in action, as well as gain access to the pre-release beta, and get the chance to win Adobe software. And since our user group is part of the Scorpio tour, plan on coming out for this special meeting!!

Tim Buntel is Sr. Product Marketing Manager for ColdFusion at Adobe. He has been part of the ColdFusion product team since 2000, previously as Sr. Product Manager, and has been developing with ColdFusion since version 1.5. Tim has been a presenter and keynote speaker at Macromedia DevCon and MAX since 2000, and is a regular speaker at user groups and events worldwide such as WebDU, MX Europe, CFUNITED and many more. He is a co-author with Ben Forta of the third-edition of the award-winning "Advanced Macromedia ColdFusion Application Development" and has written numerous articles for industry publications and the Adobe/Macromedia Development Center.
